General Planning advice

We provide advice on all aspects of planning control. Our job is to give our clients expert advice on all aspect of the planning system, from long term strategic issues to specific queries about policy and legislation.

Planning Appeals

We are experts at dealing with the Planning Appeals system. We manage the process and submit the relevant information to ensure that our clients have the best possible chance of success.

Enforcement

Enforcement cases normally involve complex procedures that require specialist knowledge of the planning system. We believe that it is important to seek professional planning advice at the earliest stage in the process to ensure that genuine rights of development are not compromised and the potential costs are kept to a minimum.

Site assessment

The true development potential of land is not always obvious however we have the knowledge and experience to identify development opportunities. We provide our clients with considered analysis of the planning issues with land and strategies for unlocking value.

Retail impact assessments

We are experts at assessing the viability of retail proposals and securing permission for retail development; ranging from local shopping facilities to working on major retail developments.

Co-ordination of expert teams

Many planning projects require a team of experts to deal with a range of issues, from roads engineers to legal experts. We manage and co-ordinate the delivery of work to secure planning approvals.

Making planning applications

Our core work is making planning applications, often alongside architects and other experts in the field. Our principal aim is to ensure that the highest quality of development is secured in the quickest possible time.

Design concept statements

We work with architectural practices and developers to analyse potential housing sites and devise design principles which guide the delivery of a quality residential environment. Our experience is that devising robust principles for design at an early stage and presenting the scheme lucidly can significantly reduce the timescale for achieving planning permission.

Area Plan advice, promotion and

representation

We represent a range of land owners, developers and other interests in the area plan process, specifically to ensure that their case is made in the best possible manner and their voice is effectively heard during the process.

Co-ordination of Environmental Impact

Assessments

We have experience of working on some of the most complex planning applications in Northern Ireland, all of which have involved the completion of Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA’s). In each case, we have co-ordinated the teams to prepare and successfully complete these technical documents.

Expert witness

We are Chartered Town Planning Consultants and provide expert witness in planning appeals and court proceedings.
